Saving and Publishing Your Webflow Project

February 27, 2024

Familiarize yourself with the Webflow Designer interface, where you'll create and adjust website elements. It's crucial to understand this workspace before saving or publishing your project.

While Webflow typically saves changes automatically, knowing how to save your work manually can be beneficial. Look for the Save button, identifiable by a floppy disk icon or the word "Save" in the top right corner of the interface. Click it to save current changes, and a notification should appear confirming the save. Verify that updates reflect correctly in your design to ensure a successful save.

To publish your project, locate the Publish button, resembling a cloud with an upward arrow, beside the Save button. Choose your domain from the dropdown menu; it might be a custom domain or a free Webflow domain. After selecting, click Publish to Selected Domain. Look for a notification confirming the publication, and address any issues if they arise. Once published, explore your live site via the provided link to ensure everything is in order.

As you make further changes, remember to republish to keep your live site updated. Save any modifications and then publish them following the same process. Regularly check the performance of your site post-publication, ensuring satisfactory load speeds, linked functionalities, responsiveness across devices, and overall appearance.

These steps are integral for maintaining your workflow and presenting a polished website to your audience. Regular saving and publishing, along with thorough reviewing, will assist in crafting a dynamic online presence. Happy designing!
