How to Deliver Webflow Projects to Clients

August 11, 2024

Conduct a final review of the website before presenting it to your client. Check for design inconsistencies, broken links, and functionality issues, ensuring everything aligns with the client’s expectations.

Prepare documentation that includes a project overview, design notes, content management instructions, and a troubleshooting guide. This will help your client manage their site without requiring ongoing support.

Schedule a client review meeting to walk through the final project. Showcase the website, highlight features, and explain how to use Webflow. Encourage questions and ensure the client feels comfortable navigating their new site.

Offer hands-on training during the review meeting, focusing on areas such as the Webflow dashboard, editing content, publishing updates, and managing SEO settings. Consider recording the session or creating video tutorials for future reference.

Transfer ownership of the Webflow project by going to the Project Settings, clicking on 'Transfer Project', and entering your client’s email address. This gives them direct management of their project.

Provide ongoing support and let your client know how they can reach you for questions after the delivery. Consider offering a support package for a defined period to assist them as they become accustomed to managing their new site.

Request feedback from the client after delivering the project and providing training. This helps improve future projects and shows that you value their opinions and are committed to delivering the best service possible.

Finalize payment by sending the final invoice based on your agreed payment schedule. Ensure all financial aspects of the project are settled and that all parties understand any final deliverables tied to the payments.

Follow up with your client a week or two after the project is complete to see how they are managing with the new site. This demonstrates your commitment to their success and provides opportunities for additional work, referrals, or testimonials.
