March 3, 2024

Step 1: Access Google Maps
Open Google Maps in your web browser by visiting the website or using the mobile app. Enter the location you wish to embed in your Webflow project, such as a business address, landmark, or point of interest.

Step 2: Get the Embed Code
After finding your location on Google Maps, click on the "Share" button, which looks like a right-pointing arrow or chain link. In the pop-up window, select the "Embed a map" tab. You'll see a map preview and an HTML code snippet. Choose your preferred map size and copy the provided code.

Step 3: Copy the HTML Code
Click on the "Copy HTML" button to copy the embed code to your clipboard for easy pasting into your Webflow project.

Step 4: Open Webflow
Go to your Webflow dashboard and open the project where you want to add the Google Map. This will take you to the designer interface where you can edit your site.

Step 5: Add an Embed Element
In the Webflow Designer, find the "Add" panel on the left side and click the "+" icon to add a new element. Select the "Embed" option and drag it onto your canvas where you want the map to appear.

Step 6: Paste the Embed Code
After placing the Embed element, a settings panel will show up on the right. In the text area provided, paste the Google Maps embed code you copied earlier.

Step 7: Adjust Settings (Optional)
If necessary, adjust the size of the map by editing the width and height in the HTML code. This will help integrate the map perfectly into your Webflow layout.

Step 8: Preview and Publish
Click the "Preview" button at the top of the Webflow Designer to check how the map appears on your page. If it looks good, publish your changes by clicking the "Publish" button.

Step 9: Test the Map
Visit the live page to ensure the map loads properly. Test its functionality by zooming in and out, dragging it, and verifying that any markers or pins are displayed correctly.

Embedding Google Maps in your Webflow projects enhances user engagement and provides valuable location information. Follow these steps to add an interactive map to your site, offering your visitors a better experience. Whether for business, travel, or events, a map can be a great addition to your website.
