Setting Up Your Project
First, make sure you have a Webflow project ready. Log into your Webflow account and either create a new project or open an existing one where you want to add your form.
Adding a Form Block
Start by inserting a form block. Go to the Webflow Designer and find the Add panel on the left sidebar, represented by the "+" icon. Click on the Forms section and drag a Form Block to your chosen spot on the page.
Adding a Multi-Choice Field
With the form block in place, add the multi-choice question. With the form block selected, return to the Add panel. In the Forms section, find the Multiple Choice field and drag it into your form block.
Configuring the Multi-Choice Field
Next, configure the multiple choice field. Select the field you just added to open the Settings panel on the right. In the Label area, type out your question, such as "What is your favorite fruit?" In the Options section, find the default "Option 1" and click to edit it to something like "Apple." To include more choices, click on Add Option and repeat for each answer you want to add, like "Banana," "Orange," and "Grapes." To remove an option, hover over it and click the trash icon.
Styling Your Multi-Choice Field
Now, make the field visually appealing. Select the multiple choice field and go to the Style panel on the right. Customize the look by adjusting the font, size, and color of the text. Use typography settings to enhance readability. Adjust padding and margins to ensure proper spacing, and consider adding background colors or borders to set the question apart from other elements.
Previewing Your Form
To see how it all looks, preview your form. Click the Preview button at the top left of the Webflow Designer. Test the form to see how the multi-choice question looks and functions, making any necessary design or settings adjustments.
Publishing Your Form
When you're satisfied with the design, publish your form. Click the Publish button in the top right corner and select the domains you want to publish to, then click Publish again.
Testing Your Form
Finally, test your form on the live site. Go to the live version of your site, fill out the form to make sure the multi-choice question works, and submit it to ensure responses are collected properly.
By following these steps, you can create effective and visually appealing multi-choice questions in your Webflow forms. This enhances the user experience and helps you gather important data from your audience. Keep iterating on your design based on feedback to continually improve its effectiveness.
